On my daily scan of the Public's website I see that they've finally posted the Cast & Crew for Measure for Measure.

Measure for Measure

By WILLIAM SHAKESPEAREDirected by DAVID ESBJORNSON
Measure sweeps from the corridors of national power to the intimate confines of the bedroom and from the convent's chapel to the executioner's block. It is Shakespeare at his grittiest: a bracing and bawdy glimpse of what happens when those in power allow their basest human impulses to range unchecked.

With Bill Army, Kristen Connolly, John Cullum, Carson Elrod, Joe Forbrich, Danai Gurira, Michael Hayden, Andre Holland, Jordan Lund, David Manis, Dakin Matthews, Charlie Francis Murphy, Caitlin O'Connell, Annie Parisse, Carra Patterson, Tonya Pinkins, Lorenzo Pisoni, James Rees, Reg Rogers, Lucas Caleb Rooney, Benjamin Thys, Brendan Titley, Katie Tuminelly, Zachary Unger, Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg, Roger Yeh

This is What Happens...

... when an artist of this calibre gets to be among like minded people, celebrating what it is they all love. I think this beaming photo of Liev is one of the most darling I've ever seen. You just can't help but smiling.

Liev Schreiber: Bayonne Bleeder Update

Here it is from Variety, the news we've all been waiting for!

Trio set for 'The Bleeder'

Watts, Schreiber, Hendricks add punch to fight pic

Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber and Christina Hendricks are set to star in boxing drama "The Bleeder," helmed by Jeff Feuerzeig. The Pic, which Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park Intl. is shopping to buyers in Cannes this week, is based on the true story of former New Jersey heavyweight boxer and womanizer Chuck Wepner who boxed 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali and inspired Sylvester Stallone to pen "Rocky."
Feuerzeig, who won the 2005 Sundance documentary directing award for "The Devil and Daniel Johnston," co-penned the script with Jerry Stahl.

Mike Tollin and Carl Hampe are producing, with Amritraj and Matty Beckerman serving as exec producers.
Pic is being financed by Linda Zander's Maxar Pictures which was advised in the deal by Philip Fier of Focus Advisory Services, who will also serve as exec producers.

Hyde Park's sales slate includes Sony's "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance 3D," toplining Nicolas Cage; spy thriller "The Double," starring Richard Gere and Topher Grace; Jason Statham starrer "Echelon"; and Paul Rudd starrer "Our Idiot Brother."

Liev Schreiber "How Should I Know?"

Monday, May 9, 2011
Before Liev Schreiber headed to the Paris Theater on May 5 to accept an award at the Israel Film Festival, he said he did “what every good Jewish boy would do — I called my mother.”

His mom, Heather, told him to say it’s wonderful to be a Jew. Of course Schreiber immediately responded, “But ma, is it not also wonderful to not be a Jew?” Mom replied, “How should I know?”

“It suddenly dawned on me,” Schreiber recounted, “that my mother managed to sum up the entirety of my film career: How should I know?”

Jonathan Safran Foer couldn’t make it to the opening night ceremonies to present Liev with an IFF Achievement in Film Award. He texted from the doctor’s office that his two young children, both under five, was being treated for food poisoning.

Naomi Watts, Liev’s partner, filled in for Foer. She has known Liev for six years and is the mother of his two sons, Alexander “Sasha” Pete, 3, and Samuel Kai, 2.

“Liev cares about a lot things,” Watts said. “Israel is one of them. We had the good fortune of going there a couple of years ago. To share that experience with him was a great pleasure.”

Watts read Foer’s remarks: “Liev has been a model of menchness — a full human being. He wants things to be better than they are. As Hillel said, ‘Where there are no men, strive to be one.’ That’s Liev.”
